My rescue hedgehog - Quillie

October 04, 2014  •  2 Comments

A few months ago, we found a little hedgehog, I later named him Quillie, he was found out in the daytime, at night he was locked in a building so couldn't forage for food.

He was bought home and I continued to rescue him from there and make sure he weighed the correct weight before he was set free back into the wild. He's a quirky little hedgehog who seemed to love an oat bath!

Here is a a few photos from when he first arrived with me :-)

Quillie now weighs enough to be set free, find other hogs and go into hibernation.

So today I took Quillie to Tiggywinkles in Aylesbury, they will now check him over and release him into the wild. Here is a series of photos from Quillie's journey to a new chapter in his life :-)
